Stonewall Museum
The Stonewall Museum in Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday, the 23rd of February, 2013 was our first fieldtrip.

After a fun lunch at a local diner in Ft. Lauderdale, we were most fortunate to have one of the directors of the museum to be our guide through the museum. We enjoyed the modest display area and diverse library. The most exciting part was when we were escorted behind locked doors into the extensive archives.
We had plenty of time for a few side destinations that were in close proximity to the Stonewall Museum as well. A retro candy store, "Gaymart," and the "Out of the Closet" resale shop benefitting AIDS organizations, were all a hit. This all day excursion was as much fun as it was educational.

December 8, 2012: Dozens of PFLAGers of Melbourne/Space Coast chapter celebrated the holidays at an open house potluck graciously hosted by two of our members.

Our holiday food drive was a wonderful success. Project Response was happy to receive the dozen bags of food donated by PFLAG Melbourne members. A client who had just picked up food to take home to his wife and children took a moment for a heartfelt thanks for our generosity. Anyone's life can change in an instant.
Come Out with Pride ORLANDO - November 13

We came out with pride as we walked with PFLAG Orlando and other central Florida chapters in the biggest Gay Pride parade in central Florida. It was an incredibly positive, uplifting experience - as always!

Family Dinner
We were delighted to have The Living Room of Brevard join us for our first Family Dinner Out at Uno's Chicago Grill, 8260 N Wickham Road, Melbourne.
UNO'S DONATES BACK 20% OF EACH BILL!
This was so much fun, we're going to do it again! Uno's brought out several different fresh, hot full size pizzas and quesadillas for appetizers. We each ordered exactly what we wanted from the regular menu - how easy is that!

Gay Days Expo
PFLAG Melbourne/Space Coast and PFLAG Orlando share a booth every first week of June.
What a positive experience! Many, many people stop to chat and tell us how PFLAG has helped them personally, or a close friend.
Everyone should experience Gay Days at least once, whether strolling Expo, riding thrill rides at the theme parks, or relaxing at one of the numerous pool parties. There seem to truly be activites for everyone.
